
Dr. Charles F. Preston
MD
Doctor Preston began
practicing orthopaedic surgery in 2008. Dr. Preston received both his
undergraduate and medical degrees from The University of California,
Irvine. He then completed his orthopaedic training in New York at
the renowned NYU-Hospital for Joint Diseases. During his training,
Dr. Preston completed an additional orthopaedic research fellowship
which resulted in multiple publications in peer reviewed journals
and presentations at national meetings. While practicing in New
York, Dr. Preston was a house physician both at Shea Stadium for the
New York Mets, and at Madison Square Garden. Upon completion of his
residency training, Dr. Preston completed additional fellowship
training in Sports Medicine with an emphasis on Shoulder and Elbow
surgery at the University of Southern California. While at USC, Dr.
Preston assisted in the care of the Rose Bowl Champion football team
and National Champion Women’s Soccer team. Dr. Preston continues his
relationship with USC as an affiliate of the newly formed,
Rod Dedeaux Research and Baseball Institute.
Dr. Preston’s commitment to research,
education and advancements in orthopaedic surgery expands his
knowledge and skill in order to deliver the finest orthopedic care.
He evaluates each patient’s case individually, and customizes
treatment to best suit their specific injuries and expected
functional outcomes.
Dr. Preston is board certified in orthopaedic surgery
and has a special interest in sports medicine and shoulder and elbow
reconstruction. As a
resident of Danville, he supports the community by serving as an orthopaedic consultant for local high schools. He also continues to
pursue his research interests and activities with the Rod Dedeaux
Research and Baseball Institute. In his free time Dr. Preston enjoys
local activities with his wife Tara, and son Conor.
